I joined him for his morning nap while David mowed and we slept for about an hour. After we woke up, we organized a cookout with our families and Ayden's future in-laws (our friends Whit and Kellen) then headed to the grocery. After going WAY over our budget (do we even have one anymore?) we came home to put it all away.
Mommy's big helper! |
He also really like watching other kids play. We played or about 20-30 minutes and then came home. I nursed Ayden, got his diaper bag all restocked and prepped our food while David went to get Mav.
We left our house a little late but stopped to pick our friends up and headed for a fun evening with friends and family. We ate steak and Ayden set a personal record for his standing skills for everyone. I suppose he performs better with an audience.
He also had some fun on his high chair/step stool/rocking horse! |
In other news, Ayden hasn't bitten me the past couple of days! Every time it happened I would have a mental argument with myself. "It's just a phase, he's just exploring his new teeth." vs "What if he is a biter? How can I breastfeed for as long as I'd like if he keeps doing this? Biting is one of the most difficult habits to break, how will we get through this?". It's still early but for now it looks like all the worry was for nothing, as it always does in hindsight. Such is life as a parent. At least we can nurse in peace again!
