Well, the forecast was right for us this time...
We woke up to a winter wonderland! |
David took my SUV to work and it was a good thing. He said the roads were terrible! His car is a manual and though I could probably drive it in an emergency, I am not the best with a stick shift; so Ayden and I stayed home all day.
Chicken chore side kick |
It was too cold for the snow to pack well so we couldn't build a snowman or even make good snowballs, really, so we just threw handfuls of snow at each other.
He was just giggling away! |
Ayden kept telling me to sit down in the snow so I'd be shorter than him. Little cheater! Haha.
After David got home and we ate beef veggie soup for dinner, we went to a HUGE hill out in front of the cottage and had a blast sledding down it over and over again.
It was a pretty good workout. I guess having to go up the huge hill again and again is the price you pay for the fun ride down.
I'm going to keep things positive by saying that today was a very "balanced" day. We had some amazingly fun moments, and we had some exhausting moments too. It was one of those days where bedtime was a very welcomed time of the day. David and I could not help but stay up late watching the Oscars. Ellen was so hilarious! The result was not having the energy or patience to keep up with our toddler who got his usual amount of sleep. I am going to try to go to bed early tonight and hope to be refreshed and renewed for tomorrow.
Did you get hit by the big winter storm "Titan"? We made the best of it for sure but I really hope this is the last we see of Old Man Winter.
