On the Road Again

We are traveling again this weekend! My cousin has a baby shower tomorrow in Ohio and we have some friends who recently moved up here too so we decided to throw a visit with them in and make an weekend out of it.

Ayden was an absolute CHAMP during the car ride. We timed it so we'd leave just before his morning nap and he slept 2 of the 2.5 hour car ride; then woke up happy and played/babbled for the rest. So pleasant and SOOO different from some of our past long car rides.

We had a busy day of talking playing and eating and it was wonderful! It is always so nice to have conversations with like minded folks. We covered everything from cloth diapering and sleep to home birth and diet. Ayden has had fun playing with their 16 month old little girl and anything he could get his hands on in their house. We also played some corn hole, had a little target practice with bows and arrows (which I got to shoot for the first time, you can just call me Katniss), Wii and made music on a keyboard. We have all had such a great time!

They even had a chair just his size!

I made another set if blocks for my cousin's baby shower and am excited to see some of my Ohio family tomorrow. I have always loved bridal and baby showers. It is so special to share and celebrate such an exciting time with people you care about.
