Three Days

Oh why isn't every weekend a 3 day weekend?  One more night to go out to eat or watch a movie. One more day to play, lounge or work together. It seems like that third day makes SUCH a difference. I've heard of some people being able to work extra hours Monday through Thursday and having every Friday off. Too bad David's company doesn't offer that option. I'm not sure if he'd agree or not but I think it would be worth it to have three solid days of togetherness!

Our weekend was great and on this Labor Day we did quite the opposite of labor. We had a slow, leisurely day. We had breakfast and had a dance par-tay led by DJ Ayden himself. We played at a nearby playground, took the frame from which we got our honey back to the bees so they could clean it up for us, went for a swim, and everyone got a nap. 

We grilled burgers for dinner and I made sweet potato cakes for the buns and they were SO good!

 Ayden had a bath in the actual tub for the first time since he has outgrown his toddler tub.

He'll be going to sleep a little late because he took a monster nap. We did a decent job of keeping the house from looking like a war zone so weekend recoup tomorrow shouldn't be too bad. This was such an enjoyable weekend. Too bad all good things have to come to an end...
