I spent the day with all kinds of kids!
My sister and her family have a maple, goat and hog farm. They also have a wide variety of chickens. We loved having the opportunity to get our chickens for free, and we love how social Rhode Island Reds are but look at how beautiful an egg collection can be when you have a mixed variety!
As we lose and replace chickens all the way, I hope to add some Plymoth Rocks, Leg Horns and some Easer Eggers. Some Bantoms would be fun too. All of the eggs taste the same so the only reason to have variety is for fun but that is what life is all about!

Ayden has been getting plenty of boy time on this trip and he's been loving it.
One more full day of fun until we head back home. We're having fun he can't wait to be with David again. We miss him!
Do you have chickens? What is your favorite breed and why?
