Brother love!

I am a little over errands at the moment so before heading to the grocery today I packed a backpack full of books for Ayden and timed our trip during Logan's morning nap. 

It was wonderful and was the most peaceful grocery trip I have had in a while. 

While we were there, I had the florist counter fill up a HUGE balloon for me. Then we went straight to my parents' house for this:

David usually does all of the post processing on any photos that we take.  I decided to give it a whirl this time and it was fun!

Invitation ready!

The theme for his birthday party is "Little Explorer" because that is one thing that best describes him during this stage in his life. These photos were for the digital invitations for his party.

I can't believe his birthday is in less than a month. I spent some time combining the video footage and photographs from his birth and I was reminded of what an amazing experience it was in my life. I also got to hear those little newborn squeaks again which were lovely. Our whole newborn experience with him was lovely and having extra reason reminiscing has been sweet.

Sweet Little Monster

Party planning for Ayden's 3rd  birthday has commenced!  

I am technically going to start out behind on my resolution since according to it I should have had everything planned and ready during December...  Guess I'll have to work extra hard to catch up for the next month. Luckily, all we have going on in February is Valentine's day and we don't really go over the top for that one...

Ayden has requested a monster theme so I've got a prett fun board on Pinterest going. 

The boys' naps were offset today. Logan is in a stormy period and a little more clingy than usual. I have been wearing him more and he can't help but fall asleep when I do so he had an early afternoon nap and woke up just in time for Ayden to go down for his. I feel like it's win win either way for me because when they line up I have quiet productive time. When they don't, I get some rare, quiet one on one time with this sweet boy!

This evening I got dinner in the oven an then we went outside for to take Ayden's 3 year photos. Here are a couple is sneak peaks: 

I love these sweet boys so much and LOVE freezing them in time with these little photo shoots. I'll be sure to share the finished product after post processing!

Logan's Maternity Photos

We got round 1 of our maternity photos narrowed down and edited and they turned out even better than I had hoped! There really is nothing like the golden hour (the hour after sunrise/the hour before sunset) for capturing some really dreamy pictures.  This was our first time using the sunrise and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite!

I am so proud of David, he really got some brownie points from me for helping me capture such a beautiful and special time in my life so well.  The photos really encompass how I feel about myself during pregnancy.  One of David's coworkers who is just starting out in photography herself came out later that morning and took some family photos for us.  I'll share those too once we find some time to work on them (probably after the next rainy day).

Can't wait to get a few prints of these to hang in our home.
