Back Yard Baby Tent

Ayden slept like a rockstar in the tent last night. We can't figure out why but he always sleeps so well when we camp. We were in bed by 10:30 and he slept 7 hours before waking and then nursed back to sleep for another 3. Perhaps we should set his crib up in a tent outside? Haha.

When we got home and unloaded the car, the cottage looked like this:

David mowed our yard and his parent's yard while I made a small dent in the mess. I always take it slow when we get back from a big trip. No need to rush around unpacking and such when I am tired from traveling. It usually takes about three days to get everything unpacked and back to normal (all while maintaining the usual housekeeping chores) and I am okay with that.

We had a sunny drive home and it stayed dry for the rest of the day. The news reports are saying KY has experienced record breaking "epic rainfall" over the passed few weeks. Needless to say, this 36 hour forecast is beautiful!!

"Possible stray thunderstorms" is much better than constant epic rainfall.
We had dinner on our porch, gave Little Man a bath and got him to bed.

We are cuddling up with a watermelon and Netflix and are looking forward to a great upcoming week!

What do you do when you get home from traveling?  Get all the unpacking of of the way all at once or take it slow over a few days?

  1. I always unpack over a few days..there is no point in stressing out and undoing all of that relaxation. ; )
