One More Day

There was bad weather in Chicago today where our connecting flight back home was so we had to stay one more day.  Our choices were to fly to Chicago and pay for a hotel on our dime or drive back to stay with this lovely lady one more night.

(My sister)
The choice was obvious!

There was a lot of action on her farm today.  2 more of her goats had their kids.  One was a first time mommy who had a singleton (common for first timers) and an older pro who had twins.

Milking colostrum from "Tip Tap" for her new baby!

Little "Lily"
SOOO sweet!!!
We also drove in to town to see an amazing blown glass studio and gallery/shop and had dinner at a place with amazing grass fed beef burgers and organic sweet potato chips.  I wish we had such amazing choices for restaurants at home. They are a dime a dozen here in upstate New York...

We have an EARLY morning tomorrow.  Our flight is at 7am so we have to wake up at 3:30 in order to get ready, have breakfast, re-pack the car, get gas in the rental car, return the rental car and get all checked in.  I am exhausted just thinking about it all but if all goes according to plan, at least we'll be home in plenty of time for me to get to my ultrasound at 2 tomorrow!  Mama's gonna need a nap...
