Dinner Party

Ayden has made some new "friends!"  They actually aren't new. They came out with our Christmas decorations and never made it back. Since Ayden was a big fan of The Grinch and Frosty The Snowman movies, he took a liking to the stuffed versions that I got from the Khol's Cares program several years ago (they sell popular children's books with stuffed characters for $5 each and donate proceeds to a charity.) Lately he has been bringing them with us around the house, talking to them, reading to them, having me put diapers on them and tonight, he invited them all to dinner.

These are the first toys to which he has formed any sort of attachment and it is cute to see his little imagination flurish with their inspiration. A couple of days ago, he climbed up on our bed with The Grinch and said, "Two friends. One, two." as he pointed to himself and his toy. He also hugs them and has us pet them while he says, "so soft!"  It is all very sweet!
