Chicken Photo Bomber

Ayden insisted that I take a picture of him and Maverick this morning...

As he is wearing a pair of my shoes.
A photo to get out for a girlfriend someday?
You should see him when he puts on David's muck boots in the background.
Pretty funny on his tiny little legs.

We had dance studio related errands this morning and the evening consisted of saving this guy from certain death:

Why did the turtle cross the road?
And then photos for my pre-dance class:

Can't wait to share the actual photos.
She got some really cute ones!!
The picture time fell awkwardly with our normal schedule.  They were at 5:00 and we usually eat dinner at 5:30 when David gets home.  I went back and forth about what to do... Make dinner early and have Ayden and I go ahead and eat around 4:15 so we could get cleaned up and to the studio on time for pictures or go ahead and cook it for later so David would have something to eat when he got home and then we could eat whenever we got home.  I decided to go with the latter since 4:15 just seemed way to early for dinner.  I cooked it, we had a snack and then we got out the door.  I suppose it was the wrong choice because we didn't end up eating until 7 and I had turned into a grumpy weakling by then.  Ayden seemed to be okay but my fuse was short and I didn't have an energy.  The lesson to be learned going into this busy weekend is that I really need to plan ahead and make it a priority to keep my pregnant self fed and hydrated! Also, sometimes snacking just is not enough. This should be a no brainer but when you get caught up in a busy event it is really easy to neglect your basic needs.  I just can't afford to do that this year.

Luckily Ayden was being a really good boy and we made it through and enjoyed a delicious frittata filled with all kinds of CSA goodies when we got home.

Valet parking anyone?
I especially like the hen photo bombing in the background.  Haha!
While we were doing all of that, David was hard at work finishing the framing on the front wall of our house!

They are ready to be raised this weekend!
Tomorrow is more of the same craziness.  I have 4 or 5 to do lists lined up on my kitchen island.  I am hoping that with enough forethought, I can make it through this weekend with us all well taken care of.  Wish me luck!
