Best Building Day

We all slept well last night so David went to build early and Ayden and I went to spend the last few hours of my sister's visit at my parents' house. David said it was their most productive building day to date!

I have started taking longer naps during Ayden's nap time. I used to do housework for about 40 minutes then nap for 15 or 20 but now I sleep the whole time. I wake up pretty groggy and our house is suffering a bit but I think the more sleep my body can get before going into labor the better. Just a shift in priorities I suppose.

We had dinner with some friends at their urban homestead. The last time we were there was for a community work day so as soon as we walked in today Ayden got right to work.

Someone is choosing a September birthday!

We had a good time and we had to carry Ayden out kicking and screaming. That part wasn't so fun but we do love how much he likes it there. It makes us look forward to transforming our new property into such a fruitful and fun place for our kids to explore and learn on.

My sister's visit has come and gone. We are bummed that she didn't get to meet Logan with the rest of the family but I am kind of glad *possibly* to have some good ol' quiet and normal days before Logan's arrival. 40 weeks and 5 days today and we are still patiently waiting!

  1. My sister was 42 weeks when she delivered and my friend was 10 days overdue. Patience is a virtue.

    1. Glad to hear about other ladies who let their babies come when they are ready! :)

  2. I can't believe how patient you are being. I delivered a few weeks before my due date with all three and I was already getting anxious. I wish I had your patience.

The house progress is amazing. It seems it's moving so quickly now. I can't imagine your excitement!

    1. Thank you! We are excited. I really love being pregnant and don't like to rush any of it away. We have been grateful for these extra days.

  3. love your attitude! admire it greatly. I hope I can be as patient come January :) I desperately want to go into labor naturally.. I was induced with my first, and while it wasn't a bad experience, I want things to happen on their own this time. I saw a Chinese Proverb on the Birth Without Fear instagram and thought of you... "The temptation to quit will be the greatest just before you are about to succeed"

    1. I've just gone into both of my pregnancies with the mindset of going to 42 weeks. That really helps. I've heard that type of thing about natural birth. When a woman "gives in" and asks for medication the end is in sight! Thank you for reminding me :)
