What To Do?

I know Christmas is already in town but our boy is still stuck on Halloween!

For Ayden's current stage we tend to drag a holiday out for another week after it is over because experiencing the holiday itself typically makes him even more interested in it.

Today the kids and I layered up and went to the farmer's market.

Tank top onsie.  Look at those guns!

We put on the car seat toy.  He's a fan.

When we got home it was nap time and as I was reading to Ayden, Logan was doing this:

Rolling over and putting himself to sleep.
It didn't last long but there was a little while when both boys were asleep in the bedroom and I wasn't quite sure what to do with myself... Logan ended up waking up and I nursed him while I found a "You are my sunshine" printable to go in the 8th photo slot on my mom's birthday present.

She sings that song to all of the kiddos all the time.

I found this frame at The Good Will a few weeks ago, gave it a fresh coat of paint and filled it with pictures of all of our kids. It turned out perfect and even has a space to grow, just in case.

We had birthday dinner reservations at 7:30 but went went out early to have some free fun!

Guitar Center!

David is also on the hunt for a new belt so we walked around the mall a bit.

Sweet, sleepy boy.

With dinner starting just before Ayden's bed time he was tuckered before we even sat down. He did a well considering but it took a lot of energy out of us, David especially since I am usually on Logan duty, to keep him wrangled and as behaved as we expect while in a public resteraunt.

My favorite aunt came and finally got to meet Logan!
It can be tough to go against our usual routine on special occasions but it's always worth it in the end!  Ayden fell asleep on the way home and Logan woke up. Always opposites, these boys of ours.

Tomorrow David is going to work on the house and I plan to visit with my parents and aunt. These next couple of days will be our last nice days before our first big cold spell hits us. Hopefully we'll get to play outside some too!!

  1. Just a word of advice, your husband should use Sunday as a day of rest. He seems to work so hard as it is and that day of resting will honestly refresh and be better for him. Also, wondering how you do cloth diapers. There is no absorbancy at all. When baby pees its miserable and you have to change them so often.

    1. There's actually a lot of absorbency in cloth nappies, they're amazingly advanced these days
